Alex Odwell founded Referment in 2016 on a mission to build the most effective and efficient recruitment business in the world. We sat down with him to dig a little deeper into what a day in the life of our Founder and Managing Director involves!
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day can be carved up into a few different activities:
- Speaking with prospect and existing clients
- Working with the different teams internally to understand where we are trying to improve
- Looking at the overall business strategy and what we need to do to execute
What does your role involve?
It is my responsibility to make sure that the business is moving in a positive direction, across finance, operations and sales. I also try to ensure that staff are happy and we have the right balance of fun and focused work!
What is your favourite thing about working for Referment?
100% the fact that we are trying to do something that no other company has done before. As a result the mix of skill sets we have is amazing and it is working with different people and personalities which I really enjoy!
What’s been your biggest achievement to date?
Convincing people to come with me on a journey. Always will be!
